Actually I’m not a “twitterian”. I rarely open and check my twitter account @kanyadevi. I use my twitter account just for sharing my poetry and/or my blog activities.
But this morning, I got the notification that someone named ペッカリー (Peccary) is following me on twitter. And he  gave me this wonderful ‘present’: a collaboration between him and Rei Narita.
.
I love the song. As long as I know, this is the song sang by Cinderella in Cinderella movie (I’m Disney movie lovers!). So, I was very surprised! Thank you! ^^
Beautiful voice, beautiful piano playing, beautiful music arrangement.
Really love the present! You really make my day!

Auckland-New Zealand,
March 10, 2016

I was born in Indonesia, and spending my childhood mostly in France. But when we talked about music, I never like French music. When I was a child, instead of asking daddy (may he rest in peace) or mommy to sing me the French children’s song, I asked them to sing me Indonesian (Javanese) traditional songs like Tembang Kinanti, Dandanggula, etc. and the Japanese children’s song.
For me, the most favorite Japanese children’s song is Tanabata Song. Tanabata is a story about the meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi (represented the Vega and Altair stars) who had been separated by Milky Way. The lovers are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month (July 7).
Every time my parents told this story and sang the song, I always felt as if I was sitting on the moon with the usagi, and happily watching Orihime and Hikoboshi’s ‘reunion’. Continue reading

ODE TO SPRING

Back to HOME  –  ABOUT KANYA

Winter’s days passed
The spring comes
Baby birds hatched
as their mother singing love rhymes
.
Warm is start to hug
a little cherry blossom blooms
Beautiful flowers open up
and smell like sweet perfumes
.
Winds breeze softly
passes through the newborn leaves
The earth smile gently
bring the happiness and peace
.
The honey bees fly and buzz all day
from flower to flower, Oh! So busy!
What a beautiful nature, you can say
And the magical time, Oh! It’s really!
.
Ode to spring, I wrote the song
to fill the empty heart with dreams, so warmly
to bring the love that will last long
And paint the life with adorable scenery
