SOMETIMES, IT’S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY

Back to HOME  –  ABOUT KANYA

The sky isn’t always blue,
the sun doesn’t always shine.
Sometimes you have the cheerful life,
Sometimes your life falls apart .
.
But don’t be scared,
you don’t need to pretend
that everything is #okay,
at least not to your self.
Because sometimes,
it’s okay not to be okay .
.
As a human,
you don’t have to be perfect all the time.
You can just be you,
with all of your ups and downs,
with all of your strengths and weaknesses.
Because sometimes,
it’s okay not to be okay.

One day you may want to put
your smile on your face,
to hide all the pain in your heart.
Or you may want to honestly show (at least to your best friends)
what you really feel inside.
There’s always a day
when you just want to be you,
without any masks,
and it’s okay.
Because sometimes,
it’s okay not to be okay.

Sometimes you may feel that
you want to cry.
So just cry if you must.
Because sometimes,
it’s okay not to be okay .
.
Sometimes life
gives you terrible wounds,
hurt you badly,
and drain you.
So just let it drain you,
pour out everything,
all those emotions bottled inside of you,
let your heart mourn.
Let it hurt until it hurts no more.
Because sometimes,
it’s okay not to be okay .
.
But after that,
don’t forget to regain your strength,
stand up again,
dry the tears,
pick up the pieces,
Live again.

After that,
don’t forget to find relief
by learning to let go
and learning to forgive,
at least to forgive yourself
and make a peace with your own soul. .
.
That’s the way I deal with
my problems and my life,
to survive
and keep living until now. .
.
That’s the way I deal with
my problems and my life,
and to keep the goodness
in my soul.

That’s also the way
I see you
And that’s the way
I want to love you
and to keep staying beside you
until my last breath…
.
For me,
you don’t have to be perfect all the time.
You can just be you
with all of your ups and down,
with all of your strengths and weaknesses.
Because I understand that sometimes,
it’s okay not to be okay.
